Chinese Traditional Dance "Illuminating the Divine Land" presented by NTDTV in 2006 Chinese New Year Spectacular.
A famous classical Chinese music. It describes a very famous war in 202 AD, in which Liu Bang totally defeated Xiang Yu and established Han Dynasty. In the war, Liu Bang's General Han Xin firstly pretended to be defeated in the first battle and withdrew. Xiang Yu did not realize it was a scheme and ran into the ten side ambush setup by Han Xin. Xiang Yu's army was cut into several segments. Xiang Yu tried to break out of the ambush with several hundreds of soldiers. However, Xiang Yu's troop was driven to the river side and had no way to go. Xiang Yu fought until all his followers died. He killed himself at the end.
A masterpiece composed in 1990s that will be the classic in the future and deserves listening for many times. Very touching. This music is "Ming's Special Recommendation" in this whole library of Chinese Music Downloads.
Nu Wa is the Goddess who created the Chinese people. Meaning of the music:
1st Section: One thread of golden light broke the sky, the sacred and solemn Nu Wa came down to the broad and peaceful earth.
2nd Section: Attracted by the Nu Wa's sacredness, birds and horses called on animals to come to the front of Nu Wa. All animals were jumping and applauding. Nu Wa felt that it was not enough to only have mountain, river and animals on the earth, so she decided to create humans kind using mud.
3rd Section: Nu Wa, after taking a bath and cleansed her body, created mud humans using her divine power. After finishing this sacred and magnificent mission, she was going to return to the paradise where she came from. Before leaving she told the human kind that they must cherish virtue, behave kindly, respect the heaven, follow one's fate, and do well in creating and enriching this cycle of human civilization.
